周一（12 月 12 日），2023 第八十届美国影视金球奖提名揭晓。电影方面，The Banshees of Inisherin《伊尼舍林的报丧女妖》以八项提名领跑，朴赞郁汤唯新片《分手的决心》提名最佳外语片，杨紫琼凭借电影 Everything Everywhere All at Once 《瞬息全宇宙》提名音乐/喜剧类电影最佳女主角，首度入围金球影后。Abbott Elementary 《小学风云》则以 5 提的成绩领跑电视剧集。
2022 年的金球奖颁奖礼并未对外界公开，原因是其主办方 Hollywood Foreign Press Association 好莱坞外国记者协会当时因组织内部缺乏多样性以及所谓的道德问题倍受抨击。而明年的金球奖颁奖礼将重回 NBC。这场颁奖礼将由喜剧演员 Jerrod Carmichael 主持，计划于 1 月 10 日播出，届时观众可通过 NBC 或 Peacock 收看。
